A Look at Training at FISCHER

Once again this year, FISCHER participated in the Altmühl-Jura Region’s Vocational Training Day and opened its doors to interested students. The event offers young people the opportunity to get to know various companies that offer apprenticeships and to gain initial insights into different career fields.

After a brief company presentation and some light refreshments, the group tour of our production facilities began. During the tour, participants gained insight into various departments and saw firsthand how ideas are transformed into high-quality products. At the same time, they learned about the apprenticeships we offer and the diverse tasks our apprentices tackle in their day-to-day work.

During the hands-on session that followed, the students got to try their hand at the work themselves. Under guidance, they crafted a car-shaped and an elephant-shaped pen holder out of metal. The focus was not only on manual dexterity and precision but also on the fun of experimenting. They were then allowed to take the items they had made home with them as a memento of the day.

Apprenticeship Day thrives on direct interaction between companies and young people. That’s why the afternoon also provided an opportunity to ask questions about apprenticeships at FISCHER and to talk with our apprentices and trainers. This allowed participants to learn firsthand what makes an apprenticeship at FISCHER special and what development opportunities it offers.

We’re delighted to be part of this regional event every year and to give young people a hands-on look at our company. A heartfelt thank you to everyone for their interest—perhaps we’ll have the pleasure of welcoming some of them back to FISCHER soon as interns or apprentices.
