Learning about professions through games

5th classes on visit

Mühlhausen. The 47 students of the two 5th grades of the Berching secondary school with their teachers Gerlinde Delacroix, Verena Pritschet, Josef Simon received an eventful impression at FISCHER Licht & Metall.

Last year, FISCHER concluded a cooperation agreement with the Berching secondary school based on the "come with me" project initiated by the Bavarian Employers' Association. As part of this project, children are to be given an early orientation guide for later apprenticeships in metal and electrical engineering.

The kick-off event for the cooperation began with a company presentation with an integrated tour of the plant. During the tour, the students were able to see what they had just heard live and in color. The students were particularly impressed by the world's fastest die cutting machine.

Afterwards, the students learned how to measure and calculate objects correctly by playing games with the company's current trainees. The joint snack was used to learn about the basic requirements of an apprenticeship.

This eventful morning ended with a question and answer session. In this session, all participants reviewed their impressions and further open topics were answered.
