Training day Plus at Altmühl-Jura

We love to pass on our knowledge and inspire young people for what we do every day!
For the second time in a row, we had the pleasure to participate in the DAY OF TRAINING PLUS of the ALTMÜHL-JURA region! Since 2017, ALTMÜHL-JURA has been offering school students the opportunity to get to know the training opportunities in the region in a practical way. In doing so, they can find out about the various apprenticeship professions and get to know the companies in the region better. As a company from the Altmühl-Jura peripheral region, we are pleased to be part of this campaign.
On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, about 350 young people from six schools met at the Bühler Halle in Beilngries. In the opening event, Ralf Holtzwart, Chairman of the Executive Board - Bavarian Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency, welcomed the participants.
Afterwards, a total of 31 bus tours started in Beilngries, manned by students from the region. Each tour was able to visit two companies in the region on this day, which opened their doors. A total of 53 companies with over 80 different apprenticeship professions took part.
Arriving at FISCHER, there were some interesting facts about the history and development of our family-owned company. With the help of a presentation, we were able to give the young people an understanding of our six apprenticeship professions and at the same time go into detail about the focus and requirements of the individual professions. The physical well-being was also taken care of. A Bavarian snack was served.
After the theoretical part, we went on a tour of the plant. We are always pleased to be able to give the young people an insight into the various departments and production steps of our products. The combination of modern machines and manual work in a company always impresses our visitors. In addition, the students were able to get a good idea of the environment in which our current young employees are trained.
After many words, the young participants were allowed to lend a hand themselves! A real HIGHLIGHT of the day was the SELF-MADE ELEPHANT STIPHOLDER. Milled from aluminum, the elephant was bent by hand. This souvenir was of course allowed to be taken home at the end 😊
